4th January 2021 – Windel Energy have moved into an office within Blyth Workspace, Commissioners Quay.
The Windel Energy team are the newest addition to Blyth Workspace, a contemporary serviced office space managed and delivered by Advance Northumberland in a bid to regenerate and enhance Blyth Estuary’s reputation. The workspace has been designed by award winning architectural practice xsite architecture and consists of first-class, contemporary managed offices with state of the art facilities, rapid electric car charging points and a professional reception all within a highly energy efficient building.
Our decision to strategically locate in Blyth was driven by the inward investment that has taken place, allowing for Blyth to become home to the dynamic Energy Central cluster, creating the perfect environment for the renewable energy sector to benefit from a series of first-class facilities, experience, and support. Surrounding ourselves with major renewable energy corporations such as ORE Catapult and their influential work with Energy Central, we are honoured to be a part of Blyth’s efforts to drive the UK’s renewable energy future.
On the 4th of January, our team began the preliminary stages of the move by setting up all equipment in our designated office, S.10. We have worked hard to ensure our office followed all COVID safety guidelines, whilst still creating a collaborative and efficient space to work. However, it has been announced by Boris Johnson this evening that we will be entering another national lockdown and therefore, to keep our team fully safe we will be working remotely for the foreseeable future. The team at Windel are very much looking forward to returning to our new space when safe to do so, but in the meantime, we will do our upmost to help and support the NHS by staying home.
