Gary Toomey

Gary is an experienced Managing Director, investment professional and business entrepreneur with a long career in in the renewable energy and environmental sector.

Before joining Windel in 2018, Gary was with Armstrong Capital as Investment Director. His role involved generating prolific investment revenue for the business, including originating the joint venture between Mura Technology and Licella Pty for the Cat-HTR plastic recycling technology. Additionally, he has originated over 500MW of non-subsidy Solar PV developments and exited 150MW of projects. Prior to this, Gary has held many C level positions within the renewable energy industry and has extensive experience of origination, development, construction and asset management of renewable energy projects. With an enviable and has a demonstratable contribution of over 3.5GW of deployed renewable energy projects across Wind, BESS and Solar. In his career, he has gained international experience in this sector having worked in China, Singapore, UAE and the USA, gaining considerable and relevant C level management experience. Gary gained a BA Hons in Leadership and Management from Northumbria University.
